Ibero-American Hydrogen Congress 2017

Ibero-American Hydrogen Congress 2017

Ibero-American Congress on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells:

Fortunately this year from 17 to 20 October, Huesca will be the international capital of hydrogen by hosting Iberconappice 2017, the Ibero-American Congress of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, where the latest developments in this area of the entire Ibero-American Community will be presented. It is the main forum for the meeting of scientists, companies and suppliers in the sector, where the latest developments in this area of the entire Ibero-American Community will be presented.

This great event is organized by the Spanish Association of Fuel Cells (Appice) with the collaboration of the Government of Aragon through the Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon, this meeting will be the main forum for scientists, companies And suppliers in the sector that will address both the basic and technological aspects of fuel cells and their end applications.

The topics to be discussed in this event:

Some of the issues that will be analyzed during these three days are: low and high temperature fuel cells; The production, storage and distribution of hydrogen and the different applications it has in the development of prototypes and fuel processors and in power generation systems.

It will also review issues related to regulations, security, foresight, market research or research plans.

The themes are classified according to these themes:

  • Low temperature fuel cells: PEMFC, DMFC, DEFC, “biopiles”
  • High temperature fuel cells: MCFC, SOFC, IT-SOFC
  • Hydrogen: production, storage, distribution…
  • Applications: prototypes, fuel processors, integration, power generation systems…
  • General: regulatory, safety, prospective, market studies, other related topics
  • Industry-Administration: demonstration projects, commercial applications, research plans…

The trajectory of Aragon:

This congress reaffirms Huesca’s commitment to these technologies by joining the Foundation’s Board of Trustees last year and confirms the international leadership of Aragon in the field of hydrogen, following the recent celebration in Zaragoza last June of the World Congress of The Hydrogen Economy (WHEC 2016).

Also the trade mission which last week participated 22 companies, R&D centers and institutional representatives of the Governments of Aragon and Scotland, all important international actors in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells.

For your information, the Spanish Association of Fuel Cells, Appice, has organized since 2004 the National Congress of Fuel Cells, which has been a reference in Spain.

The Conappice conference series has facilitated the communication of the advances made by each of those working in fuel cell and hydrogen technology from different fields: universities, research centers, technology centers, companies and administrations.

When he took international character:

Although initially national in character, each edition has had more international participation, which has provided the opportunity to establish partnerships beyond our borders.

In 2014, these congresses became international, under the name of Ibero-American Congress of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, Iberconappice.

Iberconappice thus becomes the main forum for meeting and synergy among the various sectors involved in the development of hydrogen technology and fuel cells throughout the Ibero-American Community.
